Spaiato: A Harmonious Mismatch
a futuristic and challenging project, Spaiato is a  sculptural shelving solution for electronic devices, designed for Rivatelier and Lenovo. Inspired by the philosophy of playful imperfection, Spaiato embraces diversity in form—each module is distinct, yet together they create a cohesive and balanced composition.

Drawing from Ettore Sottsass’s postmodern aesthetic, the design integrates bold geometric shapes with striking color contrasts, reflecting a spirited, contemporary Italian style. At the same time, the organic, fluid influences of Karim Rashid bring softness and movement, ensuring a modern, futuristic appeal. The result is a design language that is eclectic, dynamic, and effortlessly elegant.

Crafted entirely from solid wood, Spaiato showcases the mastery of Rivatelier’s woodworking expertise. The chamfered edges and seamless joins highlight meticulous craftsmanship, while a range of stained and painted finishes allows for playful customisation. This design reimagines storage as an interactive and visually engaging experience, offering a balance of structured utility and artistic spontaneity. Spaiato transforms the everyday into a statement of creativity and refined craftsmanship.
